Does anyone fancy joining me with this project?

I started it earlier today and though I'm not following the pattern exactly I'd still appreciate input from others.

Here's what I have so far
I'm using J.C Brett "denim" which is a wool/acrylic mix in cream with a 6.5mm hook. My scarf measures approx 6" wide rather than the 9" in the pattern & I'll be making it longer & also using less flowers 
come & join me - it's a very pretty scarf!

I really want to make this scarf but probably won't start until I find the right yarn for it (maybe next month sometime) but I would love to see what you do with it until I get started.

I was beginning to think I had awful taste  nearly 200 views and no reply until now.
This is my "between projects" project so I'll probably still be working on it when you get your yarn

I just now saw your post and HAD to answer!  I am making that scarf!  It's for a silent auction at my choral group's fundraising concert and dinner which has an Irish theme.

Here's my take.  Using two strands was just too bulky for me.  So I'm using one, with the K hook, and it looks very well.  Very textured appearance.  I'm almost finished with the length, and intend to use the edging the pattern calls for.  I just love those pointed-looking picots.  I may or may not use the rose in the pattern, but will definitely use some roses and leaves.  Oh yes, and in the cream color.

I have not learned to upload pictures yet, but I need to soon, so will try to post a picture.

Looking forward to seeing your's finished, and why don't you model it for us?

You don't have awful taste! I think it's beautiful! Unless that means that I have awful taste too

I think I'm going to start this scarf too, but I'm not sure when I'll get to it. Soon hopefully!

Hi, I found this scarf pattern on Lion Brand only last week and thought it was really beautiful.  I intend to make this, but right now I have too much on the go.  Looking forward to seeing your finished scarf, it looks amazing already.  I think the flowers look good on their own, I was tempted just to make a bunch of them for somewhere around the house - not sure where though

I'd like to do this but I have no money for yarn until Thursday!

I saw this pattern a while ago and have wanted to make it - possibly for my mother. However, it's gotten mixed reviews on the LBY comments - mostly that it's too short and bulky. Thoughts?

Hi Julia,

yeh I agree too short & too bulky if you follow the pattern exactly  which is why I am only using one strand of yarn and aiming to make a longer scarf using a J hook - I'm up to 40" so far.
Pinkroses is also making a single strand version using a K hook.
What colour are you going for?
