1 Year Wedding Anniversary!

Man . . . We've only been married for a year and I feel like I've used up all my brilliant gift ideas already. Can anyone help me think?

In the past, I got him:
Valentine's Day: Candle fixture thing, I had only known him for a week or so, but he liked it.
Birthday: Bengal Kitten, which of course he loves.
Christmas: Chess Set, which was a big hit, but now he doesn't ever use it.
This V-Day: Pajamas with his nickname (Mr. Pants). He loves pajamas and it was cute.

He is a programmer, and is very into MMORPGs, like Lineage II. He likes weird yuppie stuff like Karl Rove biographies. He just bought a new computer and desk chair so I can't go that route. He's very into SNK but he has the handheld, and we couldn't fit an arcade machine in our apartment. Also, we don't have a printer, so stenciling and ironon stuff is out, unless there's a way around that.

His interests are just so different from mine, and I'm pretty unfamiliar with the stuff he is REALLY into . . . does anyone know any clever little programming sayings? I could make him a few T-shirts for work.

Hey,

I have no idea what you are talking about with the MMORPGs and Lineages and stuff but if your beau is into computers and games, you should take a look here for t-shirts with super nerdy computer-and-gaming-related saying at http://www.thinkgeek.com/tshirts/.  I got my beau a t-shirt from here that said "Han Shot First".  It's a reference to the new Star Wars remake.  If you're not into Star Wars, you really won't get the t-shirt so I won't bore you with the details.

The first year anniversary is celebrated with clocks and paper. At least, that's what they say.

If you go the traditional route, you could make him a clock with images of his fav MMORPG as the faceplate. Even if you can't print out the images, you could probably pick up a gaming mag with enough pictures. Or, since he's a programmer, the binary clock from thinkgeek.

Otherwise, how about a computer screen cleaner done up as his fave MMORPG critter, or as his kitten. Or, the ever so ubiquitous ipod/laptop/PDA cosy.

Make him dinner...but do it up right y'alls style. Make it funny themed. Or make him that shirt and wear it (only it and a ribbon) so unrapping is part of the fun!

LOL if I made him a big dinner he would not even realize it's anniversary . . . I do that like once a week. Good idea with the shirt though.

I don't know about him, but I am constantly harrassed by family and friends the minute I see them about their computer problems.  I've thought about making a shirt that says "No, I will not fix your computer"

Yes! There's one on thinkgeek.com just like that that I thought was incredibly appropriate. His Dad only calls when the comp crashes.

My one year anniversary is May 1. I am making him a Trogdor shirt inspired by I Eat Art's embroidery (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=28190.msg238893#msg238893).

An easy shirt to do is I love you in binary code.  I might try doing that too.

Find out if there's any really cool webcomics he likes (geeky husbands love those) and maybe make him a felt stuffie of his favorite character, or maybe one of his favorite game character. Other then that.. nothing says love like a picnic with tons of great food
