Well I broke my wheel this week. The little leather bit just snapped in half. I'm quite sad and have been having spinning withdrawals. However I did manage to finish one thing before the incident, but have no pictures with me...*sigh* Wish me luck!

I also love Dead Snake and how it turned out! Grin

WAIT WAIT WAIT!! Does it count if I finish it on Friday?  I say yes, so here's "Fingerpaints":

It goes from this:

To this:

And what do you know?  It looks like a neckwarmer to me...

I love everyone's yarns so far! They are gorgeous! I especially love "Fingerpaints" knkurz, the colors are great!

I ordered a drop spindle kit on Wednesday! Hopefully if I'm not too busy I will be able to present my first skein in a week or two! I'm excited. Cheesy

All the yarns look so wonderful this week! I got my drop spindle and batts in the mail about 2 weeks ago, and still haven't been able to learn how to use it yet Sad But all my friends and my boyfriend are out of town today, so it looks like I might finally have time to learn!

Jane Doe, that yarn looks extra thin!  Will you navajo ply it or leave it as a laceweight?

Thanks for all the support on Fingerpaints.  I hated the roving after I dyed it, but it spun up so nice Smiley

*peeks into thread* I haven't posted here in FOREVER!  I've been spinning, but not as much as I used to and I never photograph it once it's done... but THIS week, I got my act together!

Cupid & Psyche, spun from Hobbledehoy batts, plied with clear thread, thick & thin with random coils:

Märchengarten, spun from my Falkland roving, a worsted/light bulky self striping single:

I've found this to be a reoccuring phenomena.  Ugly roving = pretty yarn.  It changes so drasticaly, and most times in a good way!

All the yarns added look wonderful!   Love Cupid&Psyche, it looks so fluffy!

Thanks knkurz, but it's nowhere near as thin as some of the other yarns spun here.

... I plan to ply it with another single spun from the same wool.
I'm yet to learn navajo plying.

cloudlover - Märchengarten turned out beautifully
