So I am attempting to make our wedding invites. I have not finished the inside yet I am thinking white cardstock with the words printed on vellum.I was very happy with them until my friend said they are ok and told me what she did not like.  Please let me know what you think...Thanks !

Very nice ... looks elegant. Personally I don't think it needs the ribbon and from experience it just ends up costing you way more for postage because of the knot in the ribbon. But I really like it ... it's clean, good use of the 3 colors, what does the inside look like?

art should not exist for the sake of itself

I think it's really pretty! I think that if you want to use the ribbon maybe glue it a bit flatter so that it matches the same clean elegance of the rest of the invitation.

Congrats!

wow! way pretty. I would love these for my wedding. I agree with the ribbon suggestions. its very pretty but I would either remove it or make it flatter for sending's sake. I'm sorry you're friend didn't like them, but I do!

I don't think it needs changing (unless the thickness of the ribbon knot would be a problem for posting). It is very pretty!

I love it but I think you should maybe use a thinner ribbon. It's too much with it so thick, but I don't think it's as pretty without the red strip there. You can make a smaller bow (or even fake it with glue lol) or maybe even a red cardstock strip instead? I love it either way. Smiley

BEAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTIFUL!

I agree with the others about the ribbon.  It looks great with it, but for mailing, it might be a better idea to remove it.

Plus, will recipients of the invitations keep the ribbon?  It might be something they remove and toss out quickly, since its not attached to the invitation permanently.  Save yourself a lot of money and leave it out.  It would look wonderful without the ribbon.
