My partner sheepBlue and I agreed to swap three chunky pages.  This is the wonderful beginning of my new chunkies collection!

We decided to give one another three themes to craft.  My themes were:

1)  bees :  I have a deep respect for honeybees and think that we can learn so much from the
the way they live.  The quote on this page is perfect!

The entire quote is:  The bee is more honored than other animals, not because she
labors, but because she labors for others.

2)  words :  While not the greatest speaker or writer of words; I love words.  I love to speak
them, hear them, write them,  learn about their origins, study their nuances, ....

Okay; the writing on this one is pretty long, but it's beautiful so I'm going to share it.

Language is the blood of the soul into which thoughts run and out of which
they grow.  There is nothing to writing.  All you do is sit down at a typewriter
and open a vein.  Words - so innocent and powerless as they are, as standing
in a dictionary, how potent for good and evil they become in the hand of one
who knows how to combine them.  Language exerts a hidden power, like a moon
on the tides.  The pen is mightier than the sword.  I am a galley slave to pen and
ink.  Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart.  Words, once they are
printed, have a life of their own.

3) Autumn :  If I had to chose a favorite,;this would be it, although I love all three more than
you can imagine.  I come alive in the autumn like most things come alive in the
spring.  It is my season of renewal and I love reminders that there is another
autumn coming to breath life into my soul.

Thank you so much sheepBlue.  You did such beautiful work and I will treasure my little works of art.

I think that one is probably my favorite because of all the textures. The honey combs were made from a clear rubber tube that I cut up and then I actually had this weird beaded foam stuff that I was able to put in some of the combs to look like the stuff that bees put in it...not the honey but oh wax! I think....hehe. Its kind of hard to see but I loved it  Cheesy

Here's a picture I have, not the best but I think you can make out the wax stuff

Oh, I'm glad you posted that pic.  That one got a little banged up in the mail and I had to guess how things were placed.  I'll fix it now that I see how it really goes.

Nope, it's fine.  Just the white stringy part and one flower was detached and I wasn't sure where they went.  Everything's good as new.
