The fabric is all hand dyed or painted. I wanted a fractal and I figured crop circle images would have the simplest design and be entertaining. The yellow circles were painted and sewn onto a square piece that was dyed blue and purple. Then I added buttons and beads. I added a dot of glue to the knot of each threaded piece. The border is painted blue/green with salt added as it dried, creating even more fractals. The back is all dyed. I machine quilted it and then machine and hand sewed the binding. The center circle also has buttons, beads and even french knots surrounding it.

It measures 47.5 inches squared and took about 3 weeks, 40-50 hours to complete.

Questions are welcome but please no alien abduction stories.

I love the way your pattern comes out over the border.  This is beautiful.

I like it a lot.  The colors are so bright and the design is great.  I'm  big fan of dying fabric, but sadly can only do it about half the year.  It gets too cold otherwise.
