Question 4 everyone: Will you be making a 3rd (4rd) set of motifs for yourself?
I ask because I was thinking of doing that ... some of the motifs I was looking at, are so pretty that I want to have them too.

I'm planning to make an extra set for myself. It will help me get further along with my goal of completing a throw blanket. Plus, I can use the one for me as the practice one as I figure out the pattern. Then, my partners should end up with mistake-free motifs Wink

The extra set of motif's sounds like a great idea! I just got a motif book and so many of them have multiple colors and I wanna try them out but I'm not sure how they'd look using different colors. So the 'practice' blocks can be an extra set for yet another blanket Smiley

I know what you mean... I already had 2 books. Then, when I returned a book at B&N the other day, I browsed through another one... and I had to buy it (in my defense, I did have a store credit I had to use that day).

You could always check the library, if you don't want to spend the cash. My library network is great about finding and obtaining books for me!

I'm still contemplating this, I've had lots of arthritis problems in my hands lately so I'm not sure if I want to commit to too much crochet, but this is the perfect take-along project for work!

Questions~Are people doing the whole motif the same yarn or switching rounds? Or just depends on the motif?

Even though you're an experienced swapper, you could request only one partner... it would cut down on the amount for you. Something to think about, anyway Wink

And, I have a bunch of motifs picked out that are more than one color. So, I'll be switching. And, unless my partner has a color preference, I'll be using different colors for the different motifs.

For me, color switches will matter by motif and what my partner is interested in. Personally, I am open to mono-color, million-color, etc. for what I receive. That is the most fun part of the swap to me..keeping it open so I can be surprised! Cheesy

Actually, one of the coolest looking in the examples that was posted in the sign-up post, the table-runner, is made of all mono-color motifs!
