Details of swap:
For this swap, you will crochet a variety of motifs for 2 partners (experienced swappers can have a 3rd partner, if desired). For each partner, you will need to make a minimum of 5 different motifs that total at least 30 inches. For example, you could make one that was 8 inches, 5 that were 3 inches (15 inches total), and 2 that were 4 inches (8 inches total). That would be 8 motifs with a total of 31 inches. Note: If you are using motifs that are not symmetrical (such as a rectangle), you should use the smallest measurement to calculate your total inches. You should use worsted weight acrylic, unless your partner indicates otherwise.

Delivery confirmation #s are required (if shipping internationally, retain a copy of your shipping receipt and your customs form info).

You must PM your organizer when you send and receive. You must also post pictures of the motifs youve received and publicly thank the sender. Failure to do so will result in comments reflecting this in your swap profile.

Welcome back - I hope you had a good trip!
I have a question - If I made a swatch that I wanted to use as a motif and it measured 6 by 2 inches - how would I count that? Two inches? If it's too difficult a question, I'm not attached to sending it - I just had it laying around - it was a "test strip" for a new stitch. Thanks!

I've been saving a spot for this, I"ll be sending you my info!!

Hmmm... good question! I think, to be fair, we should use the smallest dimension- it would probably be too confusing to start calculating square inches.

I didn't really think about asymmetrical motifs Tongue Almost all of the ones I looked at were symmetrical, so I didn't even give it a thought! I'll go up and edit the post above. Thank you for bringing it up Wink

Also, I added in a new question about the number of partners.

Uh-oh! Crochet stalkers! Good think we only carry dull hooks, and not sharp needles...

Well, like I've said before, I am not a knitter. I've tried many times and I can't really do it. So if you need a place to hide from me, the knitting forums are a good place! But you are the one with the sharp needles, so perhaps I AM THE ONE that needs a good hiding place! (I do have to tell you though, I'm an acupuncturist so I have lots of tiny little sharp needles.... bwahahahah)

I just sent in my info!  Grin

YEY!

Question 4 everyone: Will you be making a 3rd (4rd) set of motifs for yourself?
I ask because I was thinking of doing that ... some of the motifs I was looking at, are so pretty that I want to have them too.

I sent my stuff in, hooray! I think this will be a great chance to work on my mad crocheting skillz and try some new types of motifs. I was also lured in by the potential of getting some wild and crazy stuff I know we Craftster types like to create.  Grin
