I have to admit this is not an original idea, I saw it on another board and thought it might be fun to try here.

The basic idea is that you would use between 2 and 5 FQ's of material (no less and no more), each one has to be different and no plain material allowed.  You then have to sew something for your partner with that material and I'd be looking for quality items, not something just thrown together.

In the original idea I read, the choice of colors and what to make is up to the sender with no input from the recipient but I think I would change that a little.  I would let the recipient give color suggestions but the choice of what to make would be up to the sender.  They could do some stalking and see what things might be appropriate.  Anything that is made from fabric and is sewn would be acceptable.

I'd love to see what people come up with!  Any interest or questions?

sounds fun! I have quite a few patterns based on fq's. I agree that some color input is good, wouldnt want to make something in someone's most hated color!

Sounds fun.  Don't think my husband would like me to make another trip to the quilting store.   Cheesy  I live there already!  I think color info would be important.  Nothing would be worse than getting something that I know someone spent time and effort on and not be able to use it.  It would also up my swap-anxiety to almost unbearable limits!

I love this idea!  I agree with the color suggestion, but I like the idea of what to make is up to the sender.

I'm thinking of starting this in the first week of March even though there hasn't been a ton of interest shown - maybe once signups started more people would join.
