Hi all,
I would love to make this Crochet button necklace, but I'm new to crochet and don't understand the pattern.
http://www.fortunecity.com/victorian/operatic/312/button1.htm

Does anyone know if theres a video or photo tutorial?
Also the pattern recommends crochet thread but would yarn be okay too?
Thanks for any help in advance
Fiona

Definitely go with crochet thread - yarn is likely to be too bulky for this project, and you have to use a small enough hook to go through the button-holes. The project is actually pretty basic - you just need to chain, and the "complicated" part comes in where you stick the hook through the hole of the button to yarn over. If you've got basic chains down, and understand what yarning over is, you should be set. Otherwise, just Google "beginner crochet video" - there are tons out there.
