Brilliant deduction my dear Eliea, those are indeed bottle caps. I saw a tutorial for how to make steampunk goggles out of jar lids and I figured I could improvise with bottle caps.

You're very clever! Where did you see the tut? I'd love to look at it. I have no idea what my fascination is with goggles lately I just think they are neato. lol

I used the caps from the new Deer Park bottles, they're a little smaller than normal caps. I recommend water bottle caps because they're thinner than soda bottle caps. I could probably whip up a tutorial if anyone else is interested.
