Hiya!

I've been a lurker here for a while now... but I decided I would come out of hiding and show some things I have created these past few weeks.

I just learnt to knit about a month ago... since then I have been making hand warmers. I made my own pattern and taught myself how to cast on and cast off.

So heres my new things...

Sorry about the blurryness... i broke my Digi Cam, so at the moment I have to use my Webcam.

Its called Venetia 100% Acrylic.

You can get it in the UK... but its just normal yarn really, and you could get it from anywhere.

How exactly did you do that?? I would SO love those! Do they have thumb holes, or are they just tubes?

I have thumb holes in them. OK so this is how you make them....

Cast on 40 stitches... 33 Rows. OK This is how i worked out how to do this...

1
2                Rib Stitch for 3 Rows
3

4   P           Cast off 8 stitches (on one side, depending on which hand you will have the hand warmer on)
5   K
6   P
7   K
8   P
9   K
10 P            Cast on 8 Stitches (on the end of which you decreased earlier)
11 K
12 P
13 K
14 P
15 K
16 P
17 K
18 P
19 K             Cast off one stitch on each end
20 P
21 K
22 P
23 K             Cast off one stitch on each end
24 P
25 P
26 K             Cast off one stitch on each end
27 P
28 K             Cast off one stitch on each end
29 P
30 P

31
32                Rib Stitch for 3 Rows
33

K=KNIT
P=PURL

I hope thats easy to understand, I'm not so good with the whole pattern thing yet, hence the reason why i made my own.
