I have been having a little trouble keeping track of all my knitting supplies.  I needed something to hold all of my supplies and current projects that could easily be tucked away in a closet.
I thought that a bucket organizer would be perfect and with knitting needle and crochet hook storage on the outside I could use the inside to hold yarn caddies and works in progress.

There are 30 slots for needles and 30 shorter spots for crochet hooks/DPNs.

Inside there are bands to hold my 2 liter bottle yarn caddies on one side and 8 pockets to hold other misc. supplies.

I used a sheet that I bought for a dollar at a thrift store and other supplies I had on hand for this one.  I think eventually I will make one using prettier fabric.  On the next one I would make the outside flaps larger and gather them a bit when I connect them to the inside to give more room for the needles, they make the organizer tight on the outside and it gaps a little where it's slit to go over the handle.

Thanks for looking Cheesy

******Update - there is a tutorial up on my blog*******

What an excellent idea, and very well executed. ^_^  I may have to try something like this myself!

It's really easy to make one of these, it's all rectangles except for the inside bottom.  I'm excited to start a new knitting project now!
