That's gorgeous.

I'm thinking about adding a few big wooden beads to one or a pendant.

I read this & that very night, I HAD TO make one for myself! I used some yarn I got from freecycle so I have no idea what kind it is, its somewhat thick & really really comfy & soft. I love it & I wore it at work, all day long! I just read other people's ideas of adding beads. There are some beads I have that I've been wondering what to do with, this would be perfect! I like the fact that these are kinda light (well mine was) compared to my other winter scarfs, so I can continue to rock these into the spring! Sweet. Thanks so much for sharing this idea! Grin

When I was younger i could knit but couldn't crochet, all I could do was chain.  So I used to take entire balls of yarn, chain the whole thing and then wind them back up...
This would have been a much more effective use =]  It reminds me of what you do with finger knitting (for those who don't know, it's a way to knit without using needles or anything -just your fingers- and is another good way to use up extra yarn.  See youtube for videos).

These are fun =]
