I love colour swaps and I've organized one here in the past.
I would like this to be a monthly swap with different colour combos each month, but let's see how this first swap will go an decide this later.
I would like colour/colour combos ideas so the swap would reflect the favorite colours of people interested in the swap.
For March I was thinking for a colour combo that I think lots of people like: Pink + Green.

These are some rules I thought for this swap, would like your opinion about this too.
1. Everything you send must reflect the colour/colours of the month
2. You have to send at least 1 medium handmade item
3. Non handmade items that can be send, but not limited to: buttons, thread, embroidery floss, stickers, beads, yarns, sequins, etc

Do you think there should be a rule about the number items sent? Like "You have to send 5 items"? What do you think it's a reasonable amount of items to send in this swap? I believe that in the previous colour swap I organized we sent 10 items, do you think that is to much?

There was an active thread awhile back about doing a color swap (I can't remember who originated it). Although I think with that one, instead of having colors of the month, they were talking about using your partner's favorite color/color combo. You may get more interest if people got to pick their own colors, but I may be wrong.

Personally, I like to have both an upper and a lower limit - a range. That way everyone is at least semi-clear on what the expectations are! I know that if the swap criteria is at least $5 and one person sends $6 and one sends $20 worth of stuff, it's possible that both people will feel bad. I think this is even more important given the state of the economy. And for me 10 might be too many. And I would rather send/receive five quality items than 10 items that might not be that great or "fit" the person.

Just my thoughts - I'm not totally awake, so hopefully I'm making sense!

The previous color swap that I organized was like that one, each craftster would choose the color/color combo they would like to received. But I would like this to become a monthly swap with a color/color combo for each month.
