I made this hat for my daughter in 1994. She was really into these hats then. And as usual, Ive had to decipher my hand writing from then!

Size: One size fits all.

Stitches and abbreviations used: cc = contrast color, mc=main color, sc =single chain, ldc = Long Double Crochet [Yo, insert your hook on the row below the row you are working on, and work a double crochet, bringing your loop up to same height as previous stitches]

Materials:Bernat Knitting Worsted yarn, 1 ball of main color and small amounts of 2 contrasting colors, size and 4.00 m / G hook.

Note: When changing colors, carry yarn and crochet over.

Begin

Rnd 1: 8 sc in ring.

Rnds 14 and 15: 1 sc in each sc of previous rnd. DO NOT FASTEN OFF.
Rnd 16: Attach 1st cc. * 1 ldc in next st, 1 sc in the next st. Repeat from * to end of rnd.
Rnd 17: Attach mc. 1 sc in each sc of previous rnd.
Rnd 18: Attach 1st cc. * 1 ldc in next st, 1 sc in the next st. Repeat from * to end of rnd.
Rnd 19: Attach 2nd cc. 1 sc in each sc of previous rnd.
Rnd 20: Attach mc cc. * 1 ldc in next st, 1 sc in the next st. Repeat from * to end of rnd.
Rnd 21: Attach 1st cc. 1 sc in each sc of previous rnd.
Rnd 22: Attach 2nd cc. * 1 ldc in next st, 1 sc in the next st. Repeat from * to end of rnd.
