This is a new purse that I just finished sewing tonight!

Earlier in this week I was stuck in a traffic jam getting very bored of lifting my foot on and off the brake petal when I started to think about purses. This one is semi-inspired by the weekender bag, but on a much smaller scale. When I got home I started drawing out some different ideas and this is what I came up with...

(I stole a piece of fishing line from Dad so that I could get the handle to stay in the air while I was taking pics hehe)

It zippers shut

This is the part that took the longest, hiding the inside seams with seam binding. The only thing that made this part bearable is that I wanted to try out this new nifty seam binding maker that I bought awhile ago but hadn't used before  Wink

The only name that I could think to describe the style is "bowling bag", which come to think of it sounds kinda ugly  Grin, but it does remind me of those retro-ish bowling style bags.

I love the style and the fabric!  The binding is great too.  I don't think I've ever seen that done before.

I love the material you used for this bag. If I had it I would uses it has my hair and makeup travel bag.

Also, I am so jealous of people who can go home and come up with designs on there own and then put it together so flawlessly.

Very cute.  It kind of reminds me of the Sophia Carry All, and I have made the Sophia in that fabric, and it looks very similar.  Just take a look at how much they look alike! http://www.flickr.com/photos/megvs/2588914542/in/set-72157606323863323/

That is a great looking bag!  I would love to make one like it... except I need a pattern Smiley  I am not as crafty as you!  Good job!
