This is my little wooden biplane I made to decorate my parents' house. It's made using pine and redgum, with some parts turned on my lathe. The propellar was shaped like a real propellar, but I covered it in too much araldite resin so it just became uniform shaped. Never mind...

The wheels turn and the propellar spins. Unfortunately, it doesn't fly.  Sad

Gorgeous! I'm a graphic design major and things like this make me jealous of the craft majors who live in the wood working studio.

I'm a sculpture major so I spend my time playing with plaster, bronze, wax, sewing and doing other things in the name of 'working on my study'.

I also just finished a journalism/politics degree so the double with fine arts was a VERY good idea just to keep me sane! Having said this, I didn't even make this at uni.
