seventy five pages! Man! I just wanted to let you know I'm still alive. I just started a new job so I've been busy/sleepy lately.

As a jewelry-making teacher, I have to say that I hate telling people to do things a certain way, but most of the time my students will get upset if I don't tell them to do it only one way.  In fact, I teach several classes where the students are supposed to do things their own way and I'm there for them to ask questions, etc... and they get annoyed that I'm not telling them precisely how to do it JUST LIKE I AM DOING IT.

So it swings both ways!  Some areas there are more people who have to have precise instruction (where I live, for instance) and some areas there are people who just don't want to be constrained like that. 

Those are the type of students I worry about getting. I'd love to get a bunch of creative people, but I have no idea what the typical student is like at this store. I know she gets mainly jewelry makers and bead weavers. She says she's getting interest in my classes, so let's hope that they'll like the classes.

I finished a medium today and will probably finish my last large tonight as well! I seriously am tempted to keep the medium for myself. It's exactly how I envisioned it. The large is totally different from anything I would normally make, but I'm hoping that it'll be just right for digital_misfit's style. *crosses fingers.* I also made another little extra. I've been a busy girl! I will probably mail out in about a week!

I have to agree with that!  I've taught a variety of craft classes over the years, and you just never know what kind of student you're going to get.  It's always interesting.

Amy, congratulations on your new class, and may you have only the most loosey-goosey students, just as you want them!  I would love to attend your classes.  Let's see -- air fare, lodging, meals, plus the class fee of course -- very affordable.  :-D

Update: I'm completely finished with everything (unless I decide to do more extras )! It'll still be about a week before I send, though, just because I'm going to be busy this week and want to take the time to properly pack everything.

Well, I took my very first craft class today. We needle felted birds, and it was so fun. You are right though, people get frustrated when their project doesn't look exactly like the instructors. She kept telling us that no two birds in nature look alike, and so we should all have different looking birds.
Anyway, I had a blast and am excited to do some more felting!

Oh, yeah. And I'm still working on my tree goodies. I got a couple smalls done, and I'm working hard on a large. I'm so close to finished with another swap package, and I'm excited to be able to devote myself to tree lovelyness.
