I saw something like this online and wanted to learn how to do it.  Basically you punch holes in card stock (I used a thumbtack) and sew through them.  I got this pattern from http://www.dotcomwomen.com/crafts/paper_embroidery.shtml It's so easy to do!

I used to do this as extra credit for geometry class. And I loved doing it, and have totally forgotten about it. I will have to dig out the rainbow fish that helped me pass the class.
