I decided that I needed something that made me laugh.  My house is becomeing more and more "adult" like and I just couldn't take it anymore!  So along came the Jackalope.  I was going to get one from this site:

http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=12457559

But instead decided that I wanted to try and make one.  So here is how he turned out.  We haven't named him yet.  Not really sure what to call him.  But he's very happy on my wall now!

Very cute. I like yours better than the ones on Etse. The color is better.
I had a room mate that had the original kind. That Christmas we didn't have a Christmas tree, so I decorated the jackalope for the holidays with blue battery operated lights, garland and little balls that hung off his antlers. The thing looked humiliated because of the odd expression that was frozen on its face.

Oh man, I have wanted a stuffed animal head on my wall for forever (the fake kind, of course). You have totally inspired me to rethink making my own!

Thanks everyone!  My husband was pretty excited about the idea when I proposed it.  That shocked me a bit, but I was certainly happy that this little guy gets to hang out in our living room!

So perfect. I love it. OMG I love it so much. I've been wanting to make a felt taxidermy for a while and I think a Jackalope would be aces. thanks soooo much for posting this.
