Once I find my camera, i'll post my unworthy beginers yarn up here. Its kinda lame,  but the spindle kit came in today, and i came home from school at 4pm, started spinning, set, and dyed my yarn just before Monk came on, and it isn't horribly uneven, so im kinda proud of my slubby Friday the 13th yarn. Its only 16 yards though Smiley

This one was an experiment. I wasn't sure about it at first but now I really like it. The black is superwash merino and the felted blobs are not superwash. I spun the merino puffs in and then put it through the washer to felt...don't let it run the whole cycle or otherwise the superwash will start to stick together, opps. But in the end i really like it. Gotta love trial and error or in this case, Success!
This is BRILLIANT. MUST TRY.

Vintage rose, 14 yards worsted weight, 2 oz.
It sure doesnt smell like a vintage rose Cheesy it smells animalish, even thought i washed it. Oh well. Its actually pretty even, for my first yarn. I loves it  Smiley Its barely still Friday (11:08), but I did it! At age middle schooler, I spun my first skein of yarn! I'm so proud, and my moms all itchy! (she has a wool sensitivity. Undecided)

There are all kinds of fiber to spin that won't make your mom itchy! Wool is great to be sure but there's alpaca, silk, bamboo, tencel, viscose, nylon, cotton, hemp, flax, cashmere, angora, camel and we can't forget all the sparkles like angelina and firestar!

Your first yarn looks great! Good name for it too Smiley

Hello all,

So I'm not a major spinner (yet) but I always see all the great stuff people spin up so I asked my good friend to teach me to spin on a wheel. So this week I have something to show. Here it is!

This next one I did on my own drop spindle which I am sad to say my puppy got to and has chewed up a bit. Its still usable but it dosnt look as pretty as it did. But the yarn still turned out well.

I would love to buy a wheel but as we all know, money is tight and times are tough but I am going to start saving a little each month and hopefully get one in a couple of months.  Smiley
