My purse broke about a month ago and I have been walking around with my wallet and all the other stuff in my pocket.  I had a bunch of wonderful fabric that I had no plans for, so I decided to try and make my first purse.

It turned out not too bad!  I made a couple mistakes, but learnt from them - I accidentally sewed the pocket closed... heheheee...

I used a pattern for the purse and wristlet.  Both were very easy to follow.  All the fabric is from Amy Buttler's collection and purchased from purl soho.

The wristlet:

Love the fabrics you used.  I especially love the wristlet and the striped lining.

WOW!  both are fantastic, although my fave is the wristlet, I love that the zipper is in the middle, and all your fabrics coordinate so well together.  great job!

I  love the wristlet!! It's super cute.. especially the striped fabric on the inside.  But, I like how it opens kinda in the middle of the wristlet - not on the top.  It looks awesome!

I made another wristlet using the same tutorial (by javajem: http://javajem.blogspot.com/2008/02/wristlet-tutorial.html).  This one turned out pretty good - wish I had a white zipper though!  Oh well!  Next one!  The dimensions are approximately 12" in length and 7" high.
