The one on the left is my best friend Meg, and I'm on the right.
I sketched out the kitties and then tailored them to each of us.
Meg is my sister from another mother, and before I moved out of state we decided to get similar tattoos. All because of what happened when we first moved into an Apt together.
I'd been wanting my own indoor kitty for forever. My dad never wanted an indoor cat, and claimed that i wouldn't take care of it if we had one. Having grown up with cats around me (I lived with Mom until she passed away, and the kitty I brought with me to Dad's didn't last long as an outdoor cat) I found his opinion to be rather funny. So of course, upon moving out and starting college, the first thing I wanted was a cat. We'd only planned on getting one, for me.
So we went to all the pet shops in town.
I had wanted a black and white, because of one I'd had before who had been my shoulder cat, and hadn't found one until the last shop we went to.
I asked the pet shop guy to pull her out for me, and while I was holding her, Meg asked to hold a little black one. Mirya (my kitty) was very skittish.
I looked at Meg and said "I Don't know, what do you think?"
She looked at me and said "You do whatever you want. This one's mine!"
And so we went home with two instead of one.
Sebastian has a small white fluff on his belly, and pumpkin colored eyes.
Mirya has the face mask and a few white splotches, and yellow-green eyes.
Meg wanted her stars a little different, so she has the crescent moon.
The stars themselves were freehanded by the tattoo artist.
We got them in Marquette, Mi, by Michelle.
Now even though we're 6 hours away if I'm feeling lonely I just have to catch a glimpse of my kitty (and often my real kitty) to remember my heart-sister.
Hers is on her right shoulderblade, mine is on my left upper arm.
