Thank you both =)  I can't get tattoos for awhile since I had a staph infection and they're worried about my tattoo obsession giving it an outlet again...but someday...

I found the cord to my camera so I was able to upload pictures of my other tattoos.  Not great shots, hard to take a picture of your own back and shoulder LOL SOmeday I want to get pro shots of my work.

Here is my kitty that lives on my shoulder

and the aunk/scarab on my back

My spelling is a language of it's own.  My editors used to call it 'Katish'- hince a major reason why I had editors =)

I absolutely love this thread! I recently got a half sleeve finished this past May. Its a buddha with a lotus flower.

I have gone through a lot the last 10 years. A lotus flower begins in the water and muck, and blossoms up through the water, so it represents going through life. And the buddha reminds me of enlightment, karma, to good on to others and good will be done onto you. Just really centers me to where I am now, and reminds me where I dont want to go back to. My dad passed away a week before my last session. He hated tattoos but loved this one, and was all excited to see more work done on it. So I added his initials to it. Im not to excited about the inital placement, so trying to see what I could add to it to balance it out a little more.

Beautiful sleeve!

The placement of the initials is nice, but looks like a last-minute thing...I don't really know how else to balance it, but maybe take it to a 3/4 sleeve?
I'm sure your Dad would love the thoughtfulness Smiley

Looking at all of the beautiful tattoos made me want to post my new ones!!

The one with the flowers isn't totally finished yet, its getting a third lily and the letters touched up. Its kinda hard to tell where it is, but its on my thigh, starting right at the bend of my hip and ending about 4 inches from my knee.
My treble/bass is actually a cover up of a tattoo that was posted on the original thread a year or so back, and was happy with it at the time, but later on i REALLY started to hate it. Thankfully my tattoo artist covered it up and did a really great job Smiley there's white behind the treble, but you can't really tell as it needs a touch up.

I also have "verliebt" tattooed on my inner lip, but alas, no pictures - it means beloved in German

Also, upon looking at the picture, the lettering is not nearly as blurry as it looks on the picture. It doesn't really do it justice. Its the last line from an e.e. cummings poem:

(i do not know what it is about you that closes
and opens;only something in me understands
the voice of your eyes is deeper than all roses)
nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands
