After seeing all the wonderful post with ways to recycle magazines (ie. http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=247280.0 and http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=267860.0 and http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=49028.0) I figured since I work in a salon we have TONS of old magazines, I would take some home and see what I could do with them.
At first I couldn't figure out what I wanted to do with all of the rolls and I just had them laying side by side and I like the way it looked. My walls are pretty bare right now so I'm trying to figure out ways to make them more colorful without putting too many holes or painting them. So I just glued the rolls to a yard stick my mom had at her house. I think I spent about $6 on this project since everything was free but the hot glue and glue gun I bought about a week prior!

Excuse the random lawn chair in this picture.

I actually didn't end up hanging it above that bench, I put it next to our refrigerator and its vertical now.

This is really neat, and a nice way to recycle.  Good job!  I like the fact that it's not a uniform shape.  Smiley

Great idea!  Very crafty use of a yard stick too.  I don't think I ever would have thought of it.  I'm sure that it looks awesome when hung vertically too!  Thanks for sharing.

This is a great and fun idea. I have a bare space in my kitchen wall and I think this will work.
