My first coptic bound notebook attempt  Smiley
I'm very pleased with the result, made it as a pressie for my mum and she loved it.

I used only recyclables - scrap paper, card & string from other projects, old school exercise books that my son never used, cereal boxes & corrugated card, and coloured pics from magazines.  I'll be making some more and I'll post a tutorial then if anyone's interested  Grin

Grin  Wow!  That's your first attempt???  Awesome.  Are those pockets, too?  I want to try.  I don't think it'll turn out that good, but I want to try.

Very nice! I love the idea of using old exercise books for the signatures - saves all that annoying cutting! Smiley I would love a tute!

I was surprised that it came out so well for my first one - I was reeeeally careful and did it really slowly though so that it'd come out nicely because I was doing it as a present.  I'll get a tute up very soon - I used this youtube vid for the stitching, it was really helpful to be able to pause it and go back over parts as I was doing the actual stitching  Smiley

oh wow this is great!  I love it!  Wow first attempt?  You did a gorgeous job on it, I love the butterfly accents.  Did you freehand the butterflies or is their a paper punch that big?
