Easter's coming!!

I made a papier maché hen!!

It is absolutely adorable - you did just go out and buy a premade paper mache!!? I am impressed - seems like a lot of work so you must enjoy it...

No, I actually did the whole thing myself, with strips of paper and PVA glue (with water) over a balloon. The tail is made of a piece of cardboad and the neck and head of rolled up newspaper. The last coat is made of paper tissue.

One regret though, I should have left the tail white.

It's true it is quite a lot of work. Not that it is difficult (the most difficult part is covering the head), but you need time to let the coats of paper and glue dry. But it's real fun!!

That's great!  And I like the tail pink.

I love the circle designs, too.
