I'm glad you liked them and liked the colors. You said no brown so I wanted to give you some nice ocean-y blues from ocean-y California. Grin

my squares from DesignVigilante!  Thanks so much!  I can't wait to collect enough for a blanket!

What is the brownish color?  i thought it was RH cafe, but I looked at a skein of that that I had and the one in your squares is much lighter

The light brown is actually buff. On the website, Buff looks much darker but that's what I used. Glad you like them! Grin

Wow, I thought I was posting early, but look at all the stuff in this gallery already.  I particularly like the colours whisp3rd used.  sweetdandies, that is going to be a gorgeous blanket.

I received from Sharvanne today.  The colours are darker in real life and they are just beautiful and well made and so perfect for the afghan I want to create.  Thanks Sharvanne!

This is a reminder that sendouts are on Saturday! If I have not received a pm from you stating that you have sent (with a DC# where appropriate) by midnight EST, you will become RED on the front page!

In other news, I have started signups for round 11! They can be found at http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=294058.0. If you have sent your squares for this round, come and join us for the next round! There is a change to the questionnaire, I have added the option for sending to two partners. However, that is not a guarantee that you will have two partners (it might just not work if you have allergies [esp. cat hair]/country restrictions), and you must have participated in at least one round of the swap in the past.

I'm glad they got there in a reasonable amount of time Smiley  I feel like my squares always have that "I made these and then crammed them into an envelope" curly look Tongue

And here are my lovely squares from Indigo Roses:

I love the bottom left square - it reminds me of a pattern from a painted tile or something Smiley

My squares from sweetdandies! Tada!

I just love the colors!

That's actually a seafoam green color

I could've sworn there were 6 when I opened the package, but I only have 5 now. If there was only 5, thats fine, but if there was 6, then I need to find a certain trouble-making puppy.

thank you so much! I love them!

I received from jessvict today! She sent me four beautiful squares and a pair of very pretty matching earrings, which I'm assuming she made herself. Thanks bunches!  Cool

Here's a closer shot since I cut off the bottom two and it gives you a little closer look at the earrings. There's a light blue bead in the middle. My camera just won't take good close-ups!

Well, my partner has received but has been having some internet trouble, so here is my photo of the squares I sent to her (ignore the pink one top left, that's one that went a bit wonky Cheesy)

Shablina picked these lovely bright colours, very different from my own favourite "muddy" shades, but they were fun to work with and I was quite pleased with how they turned out Smiley

I hope they will go towards a great blanket for you, Shablina!

Yay! My squares are finally here! Here's what zombiecazz sent me.

And since we were sending overseas we decided to swap tea and chocolates as well... here's a little souvenier she send over: So cute!

I joined this swap when it first started last May, missed a couple months here and there but now... I finally have enough squares to make my blanket! I'm so excited to start joining them together (well not the actual doing, but the fact that I can) Anyone have any ideas on what color I should join them with? I'm thinking of going around them all with a sc, so that they are all bordered with the same color. Also, do you think I'll have any problems with size difference... I mean they are all '8 inches' but in reality you really can't get some perfectly square. I'm just worried about puckering and such. This is the first granny square blanket that I've ever 'made'  Wink Here's my layout so far:

Thanks for being such awesome swappers!!

I'm turning my squares into a blanket right now too. I don't know if this helps, but since mine were all slightly different size wise, I made a template that was slightly bigger than the biggest square. Now I'm edging all the squares with the same color, and just making each one fit the template. (Which seemed easier than measuring for no apparent reason.) I have this sneaking suspicion it'll take me forever to actually put all of this together, but hey, it's for me, so there's no urgency Smiley

I can't believe it's been two weeks and they still haven't arrived.  Canada Post is the devil!

That's going to be a neat blanket Tygir.  I think I'd use a light gray to join, but that's me and my love of gray speaking.  Smiley  I second the template idea and I'd also probably block the squares before edging them.  That can help a bit with the rufflies and give you a more polished finish.  Good luck with the joining!

Here are my fab knitted squares from Shablina which arrived yesterday Cheesy
They are all the colours I love and lots of different patterns

The ones with raised leaf shapes in the corner are really cool! I love the blue and brown combo and the stripes, and the lacy ones - they are all lovely!

Thanks very much Shablina!

Canada Post managed to lose the squares I sent to Sharvanne and I just finally finished her last square of batch #2 tonight and will be mailing tomorrow.  Sorry for holding up the end of the swap indigo_roses.  Thank you both for your patience.  Anyway, I couldn't remember which grannies I had made the first time and I thought I had forgotten to take pictures, but I was rooting around for a file in my computer tonight and I found pictures of the first four.  So I thought I'd post just for the heck of it.  The new squares are completely different, so I'm not ruining any surprise.  Smiley

That bright blue is actually bright purple and I finished up every scrap of that skein in your new squares.
