as far as quilting kit i would say fabric, backing, thread, templates if nessesary would be staples. the batting if you don't mind sending a HUGE box other little extras could be an inexpensive rotary cutter, iron on rhinestones, little things etc. just be sure to tell your partner what size of batting to buy if you dont send them some

For quilting....I'd just like some instructions...I can buy the stuff myself but I don't know what to do from beginning to end. Maybe the quilters out there could ask their partners what kind of quilt they'd like, get a feel for colours, and maybe come up with a pattern and instructions. Instructions could include fabric colour and pattern choices, steps to follow, batting and backing options, and especially how much of each colour to buy and the sizes that need to be cut out. OH yeah!

I have some great patterns that I've tweaked here and there. I could copy them onto paper (eh hem, old maps) and send instructions on how to construct them. Anyone need help with sewing clothing?
