Hello! Just thought I’d share some pictures of these cookies I made for my Russian lit teacher before winter break last year. I haven’t posted here before, so let’s see if I can get these pictures to come up properly.

This is Turgenev



And this is Dostoyevsky (my favorite of both the authors and the cookies)


Here is Tolstoy


And Gogol who sadly didn’t come out very well, he ended up looking a bit Shakespearean….


The gingerbread recipe is a pretty standard one that I’ve used for a long time; I think it’s from one of my mother’s Martha Stewart cook books and same with the icing. If anyone’s interested I could find out exactly where it’s from, all it takes is a call home after all.
