Here is a blanket I knitted for my boyfriend. It took about a year, only because it was too darn hot to knit a heavy blanket over the summer. It took about 11 balls of Lion Brand Thick'n'Quick yarn with size 10 1/2 circular needles. It's about 4'x4' with it being slightly wider than it is long (oops!) but only by a few inches. He loves it! But my cats think it is their blanket so I will have to knit them something with this yarn for them to lay on.

Hopefully these links will work now. If anybody can help me with this, I would appreciate it!

Thanks for the kind words!

I looked on Google Images for a black and white version of a Beatles picture. I think this one was some art student's painting of the Rubber Soul cover. I then ran it through (what I thought was) a knitting pattern generator but in retrospect I think it may have been a cross-stitch pattern generator because of how stretched the image ended up being. Then I just came up with the stripe and border portion of the pattern and knitted it up.

It was my first attempt at a picture pattern like this but I think it turned out all right. I still need to back it with fabric to cover all of the yarn carried behind.
