Well, I have been lurking around this site for years now, but I finally mustered up enough courage to post something on here. Before I go showing off my creations, I want to say thank you to everyone on Craftster because you continually provide me with inspiration and joy. Hopefully my future posts will do the same for you  Smiley

Over the summer I made some stitch markers because it was wayyy too hot to even think about knitting. After moving twice since then, I recently had the joy of opening up a box of safely wrapped goodies to find these pretty little things.

And just in case you aren't familiar with knitting accessories, these are stitch markers which are strategically placed throughout the knitting to tell us knitters what to do.

Thanks for looking and I hope you and yours have a wonderful day!

Gorgeous!
My favorites are the mother-of-pearl ones, closely followed by the blue and white china-looking ones.

I have no idea why I even want to know this, but is there a reason that stitch markers always seem to come in sets of six?

I have absolutely no idea why they always seem to come in sets of six. I just make them until I get tired of the design  Wink

Thanks for the kind words everyone!

[laughs] I've only *ever* seen them in sixes, and as a non-knitter who vaguely understands how knitting worked it has always boggled me - I wondered if I was missing something really obvious! That's odd, how there's no reason and yet everyone always does it the same way...
