I got my first laptop a couple of weeks ago (after sharing the hubby's for about 3 years!), and it is an Acer Netbook, a cute little thing.  The only problem is that it is too small to fit in a regular laptop bag!  (about 1/2 the size)  I was having a hard time finding a sleeve I liked, my choices were black or pink, and I didn't want to spend $20 on it, so I made my own.

It has 2 buttons on it, one is for when I have the power cord in the sleeve, the other is for when I don't.  There's also a pocket for keeping memory cards and things in.

This is so cute!  What is the outer fabric?  Some kind of canvas?  I love the floral fabric on the sides, and the exposed seams.  Great job!

Thanks!
I'm not sure what the fabric is, but it is some kind of cotton, not as thick as canvas.  I got it really cheap a long time ago. The inner fabric is a vintage pillowcase from the thrift store. With the seams on the outside it keeps it's shape a lot better.

Very cute. Love it when you can be stylish and practical all at the same time.

It looks like Osnaburg to me. 100% cotton, slightly thicker and courser than muslin but found in the section with muslin at most "chain" stores.
