I finished these two for an art show & sale benefiting AIDS Care Service.  The Lady in Black won best in the mixed media category.  I was totally surprised.  Both are stump dolls with head and hands made out of polymer clay.  Their faces are painted with acryllic paints. [/img]

A stump has the body like the stump of a tree.  A head and arms can be added for extra effect or not.  African bead dolls are stump dolls.  The lady's black dress where the fancy lace is, is all there is to her body.  No legs.  Very easy to do. Wink
