idk if youve already had your wedding or not but if not i stumbled over a wedding designers site MOMENTS after reading your topic, but the funny thing is i was search for something of my own (still alice related of course, im sure you can tell by my name) anyway it had some good ideas. and i LOVE your idea of an alice themed wedding. if i ever have a wedding thats something i'd like to look into...

This is so exciting! What an inspired event you're shaping!

Though against the spirit of DIY, you can purchase large chess pieces/sets. There are the cheap inflatable garden game variety http://www.amazon.co.uk/Garden-Games-Giant-Chess-Set/dp/B000KVY6DG
