I'm soooo digging this (pun intended Grin) ours is in our spare bathroom, which is actually my son's bathroom he refuses to use cause it's the "kitty potty" so he comes in our room!  This is outstanding and it looks really good too!  IKEA you say?  I do believe that will be a project for next weekend.  I think it would keep the litter dust down too!  Would love that.  Oh and I block off the upstairs so the doggies don't eat the poo.  Yes, they eat kitty poo if no one is looking..this would nip that in the bud!  oh and "This Rocks" Wink Cheesy

OH MY GOD!  I love this!  As a cat owner that lives in a small apartment, I can TOTALLY understand the panic of finding a good cat do-do place!!

This is amazing.  I'm covering my cat's eyes, because she'd be totally jealous.

What kind of Ikea cabinet did you use?  Do you recall the name?

I used Flaren http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/60089706

Decent price, attractive, right size, and it came with the cabinet top. There are other cabinets there that would have worked as well but I liked that this came with the top and I didn't have to find someone to help me order the right top.

Here is a list of some of the other Ikea cabinets I was considering.

Nicer price than the Flaren, but much less deep. It wouldn't do well with the "offset door" feature that I had in mind so I skipped it. Would work well with smaller spaces.

Different color and a very sophisticated look. Good size. Would have to buy a top.

Nice design, good compact size. Again would need a top.

Pretty much any cabinet would work. Just find one with dimensions that work with the space you need.

We have no space for something like this but....I might try and make the space!! Right now the first thing you see when you walk in our front door is the litter box in the hall, ew. Hitting 'this rocks'!

This is awesome. I wish I had thought of that when living in a small apartment with a big cat, lol. I'm ashamed to say, I just put the box underneath my bathroom sink (no cabinet was there either), and hoped no one would notice. Kind of gross, now that I think about it, lol.

This is a fantastic idea. I love it. It rocks!

That's awesome! (Mine's tucked away in the laundry room...) I really like that it helps with litter getting dragged everywhere. One question, is it harder to get to for cleaning?

This is a wonderful idea. I am going to be moving to a new apartment soon and the half bath is at the doorway with no cupboards for a cat box my dog likes to eat the poo very gross. I thought about looking for some junk remodel cabinets for under the sink. I really like this cabinet depending on how thick the doors are i might be able to bypass the cat door my kitty can open the cabinets on his own.  Very clever.

so cool! knowing my cats, they would climb from kitty door to litter box door and bypass the floor all together. lol wish we have room for another piece of furniture but my basement is crowded enough already. good job!
