so this is what I have for this week.
BTW IF YOU ARE LOOKING LINDSEYCORE- CLOSE YOUR EYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ...unless of course you want to see what you are getting...
Everyones yarns look so yummy again this week! I can't wait until I learn how to spin my lincoln locks so they look like your Desire, Jazzturtle!
And those supercoils, pmpknpunk!! Man I need a class, those yarns make me drool...
Anyway, I made this for the above mentioned craftster in a personal exchange. Its self striping, as long she makes something relatively small, which she'll have to, because its only 100 yards. Also thats my label. I'll be using it on all my crafty goodness I hope to be selling at craft fairs and sales coming up in the fall.
and this is still on the bobbin, but it will be completely finished tonight:

My first Fiber Friday!
After stalking Fiber Fridays for the past year, I decided that I wanted to give spinning a try. I took a drop spindle class in November at my LYS and I plan on taking a spinning wheel class in a few weeks. I think the fiber bug has bitten me hard
All of these yarns were done on a drop spindle.
My first and second yarns. I love their wonky unevenness!! Unknown fiber and length.
Lemon Grasshopper- spun from a batt I received from Lapoli in a swap. It is a mixture of corriedale, glitz, and icicle. I spun this up for a swap partner.
Swamp Thing- hand dyed mill ends also from Lapoli.
Blue Jewels- Superwash BFL- 164 yards. My first singles! I still can't believe I got all 4 ounces of this roving on my drop spindle.
Thank you all for being such an inspiration and I can't wait to post on many more Fiber Fridays to come!!!

Hello-this is my first picture post. I have to say, pictures from the previous fiber fridays have left me drooling everything is so absolutely beautiful. These are my first spinnings made on my humble cd drop spindle...
this is merino (pink) plied with some faux cashmere (white)- it is super soft but really chunky and quite uneven..
this is corridale-I was going for a very even yarn, I sort of succeeded. 100yds
This one is my favorite- I love all of the color combos. It is slightly uneven and chunky/fuzzy in spots. 100 yards plus I have enough roving to make another skein.
Anywho-please be gentle Im a virgin

Jazzturtle - Desmond is just gorgeous! Love the how the colors and textures go together
knkurz - your art yarn looks exciting. Ready for valentines day?
Belladune - what you've got on the bobbin looks beautiful. The colors are so smooth
ignorantamoeba - lucky you! I'm still spinning on a hired wheel.
*sigh* one day I'll find my wheel
greenjenny - I quite like your colors in the last one. But you just can't go wrong with a beautiful green like that

There are so many amazingly beautiful yarns this week don't even know where to start in the compliments!
Here are my humble offerings, I had to go pick up tickets for a movie premiere and while in Seattle stopped by a wonderful fiber shop and spent way more than I should have picking up new fibers to play with. Dangerous Dangerous place (its a good thing I live further south lol) It's been dark and dreary out so these photos are *wonderful* indoor lighting pics.

A group shot of the ones I finished this week, haven't set the twist on any of them but I'm quite pleased regardless.
http://www.goth-chics.com/02yarn1.jpg
This one is a 19 micron merino and silk blend plied with cotton quilting thread, plan to dye it later this week
http://www.goth-chics.com/02yarn2.jpg
This one is a 19 micron merino in kiwi, passion fruit, and mango plied with the same cotton thread as the previous,
http://www.goth-chics.com/02yarn3.jpg
and this is from a batt I dyed up a while back again plied with the same cotton thread.
Can't wait to see what other beauties are posted

I'm working this up for a sale on Ravelry. One bobbin down, one to go.
NP the single from last week, but I don't have a picture of it.

Continuing with the crazy, I spun up Moody Blues
There's lace, silk, and synthetic sparkles in there along with the merino wool
In a different style, I've spun up this self-striping yarn.
Corespun Merino over black mohair
