My resolution for this year is fairly open ended. I want to be healthier. I am a very forgetful person, so I thought it would be good to make myself some reminders. Here are two reminder magnets I made (I plan on making more):

I have diabetes and I am awful about taking my blood sugar. This magnet is made out of polymer clay with droplet shaped beads. I also included a lancet (for poking skin with to draw blood) and a test strip. FYI: Lancets melt in the oven.  Cheesy

I drink massive amounts of diet pop. This is a habit I really want to change. Instead, I would like to drink more water. Again, the magnet is made from polymer clay and droplet bead.

I hope you like my project! I've never submitted anything to a challenge before.  Grin

These are great reminders, good for you!  I have to say I read the first one, with a Barry White voice, saying "Test your blood, Sugar."   Ha ha made me giggle!

The blood sugar reminder is very cool. I had gestational diabetes with my first child and understand where you're coming from... 3 months of constant finger-pricking was bad enough!

Off topic, but I have also (for a short time once) beat my soda addiction- fizzy flavored waters helped me a lot. Still flavored, still carbonated, still in nifty bottles- but water!

Good luck with the caffeine headaches.

Thanks. I think I'm more worried that my husband will divorce me because I will be so cranky.  Wink

Those are a couple of my goals as well.  For me, the caffeine headache only lasted a couple of days, then I was normal again.  After that I drank caffeine free diet soda.  *sigh*  Still addicted (sorry, I had flavored waters, fizzy or not).  I actually like water, I just like diet soda more.

I have been super bad about testing my sugars as well. Roll Eyes

What a great idea! My hubby has type 1 diabetes and Im on him every day about the diet pop. Seems to be a bad habbit for him. I have been hounding him for 5 years to quit drinking so much. Water is great for you. Good work tho! I think it will help you!
