For VD (valentines day) this year i wanted to make something for the hubbie from his current fave video game Fallout 3. So to go along with the VD biscotti i made for him. I figured a Coffee Cup (found in abundance in the capital wasteland). They where both drawn freehand sitting in front of my comp with the pictures on the screen so i didn't mess up. I would have used a stencil but the paint kept gluing the paper to the cup. So freehand was required. But i don't think i jacked it up to much lol

So on one side we have . . . . Pip Boy! (if you dont play or watch someone play
Fallout 3 you probable wont know who pip boy is)

And the Fallout 3 logo

And i would like to thank robotarsonist and her fantastical mugs posting for turning me on to the Porcelain Paint Pens.

I used to call him Pip Boy too but my husband corrected me, "It's VAULT Boy."

Whatever.  I will still call him Pip Boy.  Cheesy

It looks great!  Especially for freehand!  I'd be proud to drink from it.  Smiley

That is really awesome Smiley I got FO3 for my boyfriend for Christmas (the collector's edition, which comes with a lunchbox and Pip Boy bobble head from the Capital Wasteland, among other goodies...) and he would love something like this, even though he doesn't drink coffee...

That's an amazing idea. My step dad is obsessed with fallout 3 right now and he would also love a mug like that.

Vault Boy you say?? I will have to remember this lol.

Thanks everyone! It was a big hit with the man. We have VD early because he runs a bar and never gets the day off.

Omg that is awesome. I recognized it immediately when I saw it on the latest posts, lol. Awesome paint job!

And technically he IS the pip boy. The PIP boy was the thing with which you track all your stats and inventory, and he's the drawing used to show when you have injuries (I love when he frowns because you just took a shot to the neck. Irony at its best!). So you were correct in calling him pip boy!

Lol I read VD to mean something very different though possibly related.

I love the mug. I recognized it rather quickly even though we got rid of our tv quite awhile ago.

Pip is way gunner to say than vault, and o think that is his actual name. I want some porcelain pens now. Too bad I can't draw Sad
