Ok, here was my pincushion that I sent to to PerachYafeh for barbolot's pin cushion swap. (Did you see barbolot's pincushion by the way? It was amazing! I love it!)

Anyway! On to the one that I made!

It's made of wool blend felt that I colored with artist chalks. I now am addicted to coloring felt with chalk, it's a weird sickness!

If you're interested in more details, I did a write up on my blog. I really loved making this, I hope everyone likes it! Thanks!

I will be out of town June 11-20 with limited computer access. (Be patient with me, I'm on the beach!)

It's really cute. I like how the chalk makes the color so soft and pretty. Good job!

Oh, wow, it's gorgeous! The french knots in the flowers are a really nice touch.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I'm making a cozy for my sewing machine, and I wanted to decorate it with a branch of cherry blossoms. I managed the branch fine, but everything I tried for the blossoms was sub-par. Pink felt was either too light or too neon. I tried ribbon flowers: ick. I just bought some pink fabric to try something else, and then I saw your post. Brilliant!!! I had the felt and the chalk on hand, so I gave it a try, and I LOVE it!!! Thanks so much for the inspiration. Have to run and get some more floss so I can attach a few more flowers. I'll post a new topic when I'm finished, and I will CERTAINLY give you credit for saving my project. This is why I LOVE Craftster!  Grin Grin Grin
