The Orange Calorie Monster

Forgive me if I do anything wrong. This is literally my first post here. (Also, I don't have the Craftster credit to post pictures. Hope links will do!)

My family, friends, and I all decided to get rid of those extra holiday pounds. Thus, when we saw the new Weight Watcher’s TV commercial we couldn’t help but laugh. It led to a conversation where my mom and I agreed we needed something to slap around when we got hungry… Inspired by the commercial and the conversation, I made the Calorie Monster.

I knitted this little guy and then used some scraps I had to make his eyes. He’s knitted using two types of yarn so he is pretty strong. I also gave him a flap over his back so that I can use him to hold things. The flap fastens with a button.

I’ve put my notebook and my ipod in there so far. That helps me keep track of my calorie count and keeps my music safe for when I want to go for a walk. As an added bonus, I can take everything out and put some stuffing in him. Then all I have to do is close the pouch and beat the heck out of the thing.

hahaha!  I was with my mom the first time we saw that commercial, and we were like, "What's so bad about the orange fuzzy guy?  He's cute, and he's got PIZZA!  Sounds like my kind of guy!"
