I sat down with some yarn, flipped on the tv, and before I knew it, I had this adorable hat finished in my lap!  It practically made itself! Smiley

Here are my two boys modeling it.  I like how it looks from the front, but the side view is TDF!! I LOVE IT! Smiley
I'm not really sure what it reminds me of.  Not really a gnome.  Maybe like a retro space helmet?  LOL, I dunno, but I do know I love it!

Thank you! Smiley

I can definitely try to write up a tute. Smiley  It will probably take a day or so, though. Smiley

Thanks again! Smiley

the hat is adorable! I totally love it! I'd wear it. It looks more like a pixie hat to me. add some manly leaves and acorns and it can be a boys pixie hat. After all there are boy pixies. Smiley

You know, you're right!  Me thinks I must grab some green yarn and whip up a new one for that tutorial! Smiley

ooohhh yes - VERY pixie, too! I'm thinking red would be so wonderful - I have a fondness for Gnomes that goes waaaay back. Back to me posting little letters in tree trunks to them. Now...with the help of you MUCHLY ANTICIPATED TUTORIAL!!! (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) I can transform my Boy Wonder into a Gnorgeous Gnome. Cheesy

I will totally make one for my sister and brother and maybe myself if you make that tut. And I promise to take a picture of the 3 of us and post it for you. Smiley

Love the hat and the model is cute too. My little guy would look so cute in a hat like that (if I could keep it on him). Very pixie-ish, would look great in green or brown with some flower or leaf embellishment. Also, could add and eyeball to the top to make it more alien. I would make on in red to keep it David the Gnome-ish (anyone else remember that show from way back?).
