so... I basically directly "borrowed" this idea from someone on this board. I tried, but for the life of me I can't find them to give them credit. So pat yourself on the back, whoever you are. Mimicking is the most sincerest form of flattery!

Basically I thought that using yellow dish gloves was a perfectly brilliant material use. So I drafted a pattern, cut it out of muslin and then sewed millions of pieces of yellow dish gloves to each piece. I used about 52 pairs of gloves, and at least forty hours of sewing. It's stupid how long this thing took.

and then my bff and I did a shoot in my tub. It was way much fun.

What an awesome dress! I know someone who made a purse with gloves like that, made to look like folded hands. Your dress is made even more awesome by making the gloves look so pretty and not like, well, like dish gloves! Great pics too Smiley
