Do a gauge swatch. It's very important with the calorimetry.

When I find really beautiful yarn like that, I like to do really simple fingerless gloves in either stockinette or 2x2 ribbing so that it shows off the colors of the yarn. To make fingerless gloves, I just knit a long tube on dpn's and add a thumbhole at the end. It's a simple, wearable way to show off some really special yarn.

Was thinking of doing it with the one on the left, the creamy coloured wool. Do you think it will work ok?

I think it'd look great.  Smiley
