That is such a wonderful idea!  I wish I could see your mom's face when she opens it, and I'm not even related!   Smiley

Oh, and my 3-year-old does everything in his underwear too.   Grin

As an Auntie, ANYTHING my nephew makes for me is PURE GOLD!  I can't even imagine what the reaction may be for a Nanny!  And, yes, I did get a little teary...Who wouldn't!?!

Thank you for a great post and maybe a future idea...

This is such a thoughtful idea. I'll bet Nanny will be thrilled. The pictures of him working so hard on the stitching and the pride on his face are great. You have a very sweet and creative little boy.

What a wonderful idea.  I am always surprised by how willing kids are to express themselves when they are given the chance.  I think your son did a fantastic job and he looks so proud.  I'm sure Nanny will love it!

First of all he did better than alot of adults would have done!

Second of all, my 18yr old has switched from doing everything in his undies at Sebastian's age to everything done in his sleep pants. Gets home from school and instantly puts them on!

Thirdly, anyone that's a Mom, Aunt, Sister etc. would tear up knowing the work he put into it!

You have a great son, who has a great Mom!

Wow - brings back memories -- my mom pulled embroidery from her "I'm bored" arsenal when I was about 7 or 8 -- she had each of us write our name on a hanky and learn how to embroider it - even my brothers.

She was a great teacher that boredom is a choice.

So glad people are still passing on to the next generation and Nanna gets a super gift.

As a granny to a 5 yr old, I am all over this! Precious, and five stars in the Awwwwww factor.

And the "I love you with 3 hearts"? Stratospheric adorable!

But my favorite is the "Well, back to sewing!"

Yeah, that "love you with 3 hearts" really got me too; and I loved the Heart in a heart in a heart. So great the way you put everything together!
