This is something I made based on instructions in a Japanese craft book http://images-jp.amazon.com/images/P/4834722449.09.LZZZZZZZ.jpg on making "Palm Pets". I tweeked the original design a bit to make him a little more threatening...argh, give me all your booty!  Wink

That is a real fancy pirate! And so colorful too. I love his/her little striped shirt and cute heart. I also tweaked up a little animal (silly valentines day present) to be a little more gnAARRRRly hehe.

Sabrina's Charm, that's a great idea about sticking a safety pin through the heart. Unfortunately, he's in a new home with my aunt...
Ranger Beth, heh heh, my that is a fierce pirate bear! I love the cute gold button earring. that is fabulous!

That is so cute! It reminds me of Dreampets: www.dreampets.jp/
What should I search for on Amazon to find that book? The patterns look adorable!

Banana Ambush-That Dream Pets website is awesome. Especially the music. If you are interested in ordering that book off of Amazon Japan then I think you'll need the ability on your computer to write it in Japanese characters. If you're really interested in ordering it then PM me and I can send you a link of that book and all you'd have to do is press a button that says you want to order it. From then on out they have the rest translated into English for you.

Pffffaaahahah!  Grin SaltyGirl, that pirate is super rugged.  I really like how weathered it looks.  I haven't really mastered the whole 3D stuffed animal thing.  Besides that cute Japanese book Rocknroar mentioned, does anyone know of maybe an online resource or something that explains the process for us dummies?

P.S.  Are both of these handsewn?
