Last year I created a list of things I wanted to get done by the end of the year (essentially my resolutions since I couldn't settle on just one). There was about 77 things on the list. It ended up being overwhelming and I learned that unless the list was in front of me, I generally forgot most of the things I wanted to do.

I'm more of a visual person. So I decided to make a resolution mobile! It's hanging in my craft room/personal area! I clipped out the resolutions from my list for this year and from old magazines paired the resolution with a picture!

I used the magazine insets (subscriber postcards) and pasted each side with a "resolution" image and the resolution description. I used gold wire and essentially wanted it to look very floaty and random.

I've been so happy with it thus far!! And it's working!

Wanting to finish
resolution mobile art
makes it happen now

Great idea!  Hope you enjoy writing a haiku a week and doing all those other fabulous artsy things.  I like the rotating photo wall idea!  Good stuff!

Great idea! I'm also a visual person, who's always making lists that I then never look at again. I love your solution, especially how the images will float randomly to the forefront! Good luck. What new skill will you learn?

great idea!  are you going to pluck off the ones you've done or are you just gonna leave it as it is, even if you've finished some of the finishable ones?

What a wonderful idea!  You're so ambitious!

Life is too short to finish boring WIPs.

This is an awesome idea! I was thinking recently of making a resolutions collage, but this idea is my better.

What a great way of visualising your resolutions! So, how many resolutions can you cross off your list already?

Thanks! Well I have gotten a few resolutions started Smiley So I have made 5 recipes from cookbooks. Been exercising every couple days. Started watching a buttload of movies. I've been keeping tallies of the list ones like movies and books. I'm going to leave the resolutions up, because I also love the pictures.

As for new skill, I want to try roller derby. But I may get less ambitious and try screen printing Smiley

That's great!

Power is strength and the ability to see yourself through your own eyes and not through the eyes of another. It is being able to place a circle of power at your own feet and not take power from someone else's circle.

I love this!! I'm a visual person and this would really keep me motivated to uphold my new resolutions. I especially like the art for each one. It reminds me a lot of PostSecret, with the background and simple words on the front.

I really want to make something like this!

My own list of resolutions is very long but I must say you've made me add on another. Your "Give something up for a month, every month" is such a good idea. I hope everything is working well so far, and the mobile looks great! Very inspirational. Thank you!
