So I got my package several days ago.  *blushes*

I was very spoiled:

The box that was filled to the top!

Three sweet stamps!  Not pictured: a brown stamp pad - which is great because I didn't have a brown one yet!  She sent some notecards too.  I love that shade of green, and it's further proof that those owl stamps are dope!  Do you see those cute barrettes?  She sent two pairs, the set that's pictured that looks a bit like owly eyes, and another pair with cute retro fabric owls that are just the right amount of pink - I'm wearing them right now, and none of the pictures I got did them (or me heh) justice.

Cute little notebook.

Look at this zippered pouch!!  I like the lining fabric.

and that owl?  it's a removable pin!

A close up of the stamped owl images on the notecards.  They do have some glare from the flash on their plastic container.

And she sent a copy of Nana vol 1!  I love Ai Yazawa's illustrations.  You can see the edge of the book in the photo with the owl pin closeup.

What a fantastic package! I saw those notebooks at Joann's today. I might run back and buy some. I didn't think to alter them like that, but what a fantastic idea!

I'm so glad you liked everything, h_pets360! When I pack everything up I tend to forget to explain where some of the things come from, so I'll try here...

- The box is an old cigar box (duh) that is probably a million years old that I found at my Grandparent's house, and I had kept odds & ends in it for at least a dozen years before rediscovering and realizing that it fit the swap perfectly!

- You had mentioned to me that your try at stamp carving didn't work out how you liked and I had to laugh -mine are VERY "rustic!"  Grin First time carving and I used some nice vinyl erasers.

- The pouch and pin were destash items -some vintage corduroy, felt, zipper and buttons with a pretty new fat-quarter print I picked up a while ago.

- The journal was indeed from Joanne's! But when I got it home I realized the leaf cut-out on the cover had a couple broken spots, so I just cut it out and attached an owl patch over some ribbon to make a new cut-out design.

- The hairclips were a lot of fun, I got to sort through my big tin of old buttons and even got to make my first fabric-covered buttons. The owl print was a literal scrap about six inches long and two inches wide, I found it in the "free" bin at a craft thrift store and couldn't resist the owls! They were right on the edges of the fabric, alas, so there was no good way to center them...

Again, I'm totally in love with all the items you crafted for me -everyone loves the purse when I wear it out!  Grin
