I rescued this chair from a school dumpster about 10 years ago.  I've been meaning to recover it, but never got around to it.  My mother was cleaning out her sewing cupboard and gave me some upholstery fabric that she'd had for 45 years.  It matches the walls in my study so, voila, a new look for my chair.  The job was more extensive than I'd anticipated because the foam was disgusting.  Fortunately, I live a few blocks from a place called "House of Foam"!:)

It's far from perfect, but I'm pleased with the spur-of-the-moment transformation.
